KHUMBU AREA TREKKING

The Khumbu area, which is famous for Everest area trekking is one of the popular trekking trials of Nepal. There are several possible ways of reaching the Khumbu area such as classical way and airways. The classical ways trek to Everest will start from Kathmandu to Jiri by coach and trek start from Jiri. Although most parties start their trekking from Lukla by flight. Generally this area trek start from Lukla due to altitude sickness problem. Lukla is linked by several domestic airlines from Kathmandu. Also there are airstrips in several places along the way for charter flight as well as rescue flight.
