The Kathmandu valley is surrounded by tier of green mountain walls above
which tower mighty snowcapped peaks. It consists of three main cities of
great historic and cultural interest. Kathmandu, Lalitpur (Patan) and

wall of the palace writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square protected as
an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the social, religious and urban focal

While the high Himalaya makes up Nepal's northern region, the southern
